20 Ways to Romanticize Your Life This Spring

I’ve always been someone who looks for the magic in life.

I focus on the small things, mostly. A slow Monday morning, sunlight coming through the window, going out for my favorite coffee, a moment in life that feels a little different from the rest.

There are so many beautiful things in our daily lives that we miss because we’re moving too fast. But when we actually slow down enough to notice them, they make our lives feel so much fuller.

It’s not about pretending everything is perfect or trying to force a positive mindset.

It has more to do with how you pay attention.

Romanticizing your life—despite how it’s been turned into a trend—is really just a way of moving through your days with intention. It’s finding joy in simple things, structuring your days in a way that feels good to you, and staying open to love, joy, God’s presence, and wonder in your everyday life.

Being present enough to notice what’s already there instead of constantly reaching for what’s next.

And if there’s any season that naturally invites you into that mindset, it’s spring.

With the colder weather (mostly) behind us, it’s time to start celebrating the color, warmth, and vibrancy that come with the transition into a new season.

Below, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite ways to romanticize your life this spring. Simple ideas that help you slow down, notice the beauty around you, and actually enjoy this season as it’s happening.

25 ways to romanticize your life this spring

Have your morning moment

Make the most of your mornings and make your routine your own. Sure, you can let the “it girls” online inspire you, but you can also make your morning routine entirely yours. What would actually bring you joy before starting the day? And then do that.

Get your coffee or matcha started, put it in your favorite cup, light a candle, spend five minutes reading your new favorite book. Take a second to sit with Jesus.

Sounds wayyyy better than rushing out the door, right?

Transition your closet to spring

Goodbye chunky layers and hello dresses.

While you’re swapping, let go of pieces that you never wear or no longer fit you—mentally and physically. Letting go of the old feels really good and brings in a sense of newness and order for a new season.

And honestly, a lot less decision fatigue.

Update your Pinterest & prayer boards

I love using Pinterest to put together my dreams and visions for different areas of my life.

I know a lot of us do this annually, but I love doing it for a new season too. What do you want life to look and feel like this spring and summer? What are you praying and believing God for?

Make boards that inspire you to dream bigger and trust Him with it.

Make a blessings jar

Every week, write down something you feel thankful for and put it in a jar.

At the end of the season, go back and read them. It’s such a simple way to see how much good was actually there.

Plan a solo date to a new coffee shop

I love the idea of spending time with yourself.

Whether it’s a weekend morning or a random weekday afternoon, there’s something about getting out of the house and being alone for a little. Grab a coffee, take yourself out to lunch or dinner, and give yourself time to just be with you.

Buy yourself fresh flowers

Who doesn’t love fresh flowers?

Go to Trader Joe’s, pick out a few stems, and make your own arrangement. It’s such a small thing, but it makes everything feel a little more alive and put together.

Start journaling again (and get a cute new journal)

Break out a pen and a cute new notebook and write your heart out.

You’d be surprised how many things are waiting to come out of you. Whenever I write, I connect with parts of myself that don’t really come out any other way.

It’s healing, special, and honestly a little romantic.

Swap out your winter bedding for spring

There is nothing like swapping out heavy winter sheets for something light and fresh.

Maybe some stripes, florals, or just crisp white. Open the windows, let the air in, and let your room feel like a new season too.

Go on a mini digital detox

Okay girls, let’s be honest… we all spend a little too much time online.

Even just taking an hour to step away can make such a difference. Put your phone down, go outside, be present.

Let your mind breathe for a second.

Upgrade your loungewear

We all love being comfortable, but wearing the same old t-shirt and sweats every day doesn’t always make you feel your best.

Find pieces that are still cozy but make you feel a little more put together. It’s a small shift, but it changes how you feel throughout the day.

Clean out your junk drawers

We all have one.

Every time you open it, it’s just chaos. Spring is the perfect time to clean it out, reorganize, and be intentional with your space again.

Turn it into something useful—a wellness drawer, a tea drawer, or just organized chaos.

It actually makes a difference.

Practice positive self-talk

There is so much power in renewing your mind.

Write down a few affirmations, pick the ones that resonate, and repeat them daily until they start to feel natural. It takes time, but it matters and eventually makes a big difference.

Get together with your girls

There is nothing like a good night with your friends.

Dinner, getting dressed up, taking pictures, laughing too much. Those moments are everything.

Do wellness your way

Move your body in ways that feel good and refreshing.

Not like a checklist you adopted from someone else online. You don’t need to force yourself into workouts you hate.

Go for a walk, try pilates, stretch, get outside. Let it feel enjoyable again.

Stop waiting for a special occasion to wear the good outfits

Stop saving your favorite pieces for “later.”

Wear them now. Your life is happening right now, and there’s no reason not to enjoy it.

Create just for enjoyment on social media

I miss when Instagram felt like a scrapbook.

Start using it that way again. Take pictures for fun, record your life, capture little moments just because you want to remember them.

Be creative without the pressure.

Make a feel good playlist

Create a playlist with songs that make you feel alive.

Maybe even a new worship playlist. Music has a way of shifting your whole mood and making everyday moments feel better.

Take a mid-week reset

Some weeks get full and hectic really quickly.

Take a second to reset. Clean your space, restock your fridge, get outside, move your body.

Sometimes you just need a small reset to feel like yourself again.

Host a Bible study

Invite a few girls over, open your Bibles, and just spend time together.

It doesn’t have to be anything complicated or perfectly planned. Light a candle, put out some snacks, sit on the floor, and talk about what God’s been doing in your life lately.

The things you’re learning, the things you’re struggling with, the things you’re praying for.

There’s something really special about being around other girls who are also trying to grow in their faith. It makes everything feel a little less heavy and a little more real.

Spend more quiet time with God

Give yourself a little more space to be with God throughout your week.

Not something that you’re rushing or something you’re squeezing in when you have five minutes, but time that actually feels intentional. Time to sit, read, journal, pray, or just be.

Even if it’s only a few minutes.

a different way to live

Romanticizing your life isn’t about changing everything.

It’s realizing your life is already happening and letting yourself be present for it.

There’s a difference between moving through your days and actually experiencing them.

All of the small moments matter.
A slow morning.
Sunlight coming through your window.
A walk where your mind settles down.

Most of it is easy to miss when your attention is always somewhere else or on the future.

Spring has a way of bringing a newness back.

The days are longer. The air changes. Everything starts to come alive again, and you feel alive again too.

Maybe nothing around you has drastically changed.
Your life might look the same or be in the same season spiritually.

But it feels different when you slow down enough to be present for the small but beautiful things you are always overlooking.

Let yourself enjoy what’s already here.
\Stop treating this season like something to get through.

Because it isn’t.

This is your life… right now, as it is.

And it’s allowed to feel good while you’re living it.

Go live your “Sunday Best” life.

As usual…

Praying for you always,

Laura <3
